The town of Hounsfield (Pop. 3,466/2010 U.S. Census) lies in western Jefferson County, New York, along the Black River and Lake Ontario. The town contains the Village of Sackets Harbor and numerous islands, including the largest private island in the United States – Galloo Island, which boasts a seven-bedroom lodge rental and its own airstrip. NY State Route 3 traverses western Hounsfield and Interstate 81 passes through to the south.

Court Clerks are available every:

• Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Court sessions begin at 4:00 p.m. every Tuesday, and the District Attorney is present every 4th Tuesday of each month at 3:00 p.m.

You should bring your court notice advising you to appear in court. If you are displaced, showing the court personnel your letter may help in directing you to where you need to go and what you need to do.
