The Village was at one time the county seat and is one of the oldest communities in Allegany County. It was first settled in 1802 and is named after General Phillip Schuyler’s daughter, who married John Barker Church. The Angelica Park Circle Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Town Court is in session on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. The court night set aside for cases heard by the District Attorney is every 2nd Monday of each month, beginning at 5 p.m.
