The town of Oxford, situated centrally in southern Chenango County, also contains a village by the same name. While the Village of Oxford maintains its own government, the Village Hall is the site of the town meetings and court hearings. The town’s population was 3,901 (2010 U.S. Census). The area is served by New York State Routes 12 and 220, which intersect at the village.
