The Town of Burns is situated in northeastern Allegany County and the Village of Canaseraga is located within its boundaries. A hamlet, also named Burns, is located along County Route 14 (CR 14). Burns borders on both Livingston County and Steuben County. The town is situated off of New York State Route 70, just west of State Route 36, at the intersection of CR 52.
The Town Clerk’s office is open every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., and on Friday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. except for holidays. DA Night is scheduled for the 3rd Monday of any given month at 5:30 p.m.
