The Village of Lancaster is the site of the Lancaster Opera House, known for its theatrical plays and musicals. The village lies east of the City of Buffalo in the western section of the town of Lancaster, alongside Cayuga Creek and U.S. Route 20. The village contains Como Lake Park, which includes the Como Lake Lighthouse, picnic areas, and a lake that freezes over in the winter and forms an ice skating rink.
