It covers 45.6 square miles and has the distinction of being the birthplace of James H. McGraw of McGraw-Hill Publishing Company.

In 1918, 105 of the voters of Harmony signed a petition to have the town divided into two towns, because Harmony at that time covered about 86 square miles. The initiative passed in December 1918, and the town was divided into two towns: the Town of North Harmony and the Town of South Harmony.

New York Driver Assessment
